Course Description:

What does your client onboarding process actually look like?

Join fellow tax professionals for a practical, peer-to-peer roundtable focused on the real-world systems, checklists, questions, and processes used to bring new clients into a practice.

This isn’t a lecture or a one-size-fits-all solution. It’s an opportunity to compare notes, share what’s working, and walk away with ideas you can put into practice.

Topics may include:

  • New client intake checklists and appointment preparation
  • Entity-specific onboarding for individuals, S corporations, partnerships, and more
  • Prior-year data, tie-outs, fixed assets, and bookkeeping quality
  • Required documentation, including EIN letters, 8821s, operating agreements, and payroll records
  • Estimated tax payments and other items to verify early
  • Setting client expectations for timelines, documents, communication, and deliverables
  • Document submission, file naming, and recommended file structures
  • EIDL loans and other historical financial considerations
  • Billing and setup costs
  • Practice management tools and workflow considerations
  • Estate and trust onboarding

Come ready to share. Panelists will bring their own checklists, templates, and processes, and attendees are encouraged to share what works in their own practices.
